We’re starting to see a pattern with Oppo’s 2026 lineup: they are obsessed with massive batteries and high-resolution glass. The latest leak from Digital Chat Station just dropped the floor out from under the “compact flagship” category. The Oppo Find X9s is looking less like a “Lite” model and more like a specialized imaging tool that happens to fit in one hand.

Earlier rumors suggested a triple 50MP setup, but the new report flips the script. Oppo is allegedly stuffing two 200MP Samsung HP5 sensors into the X9s. One for the main wide lens and one for the 3x periscope telephoto.
This is a wild move for a “compact” phone. Most small flagships—like the base iPhone or Galaxy—cut corners on the zoom lens. If this leak is accurate, the X9s will be able to pull off 50MP crops at 6x zoom with almost zero loss in detail. It’s effectively a pocket-sized version of the Ultra models.
The most impressive part of the leak isn’t the camera; it’s the 7,000mAh battery. Oppo is using silicon-carbon technology to achieve this. It allows them to pack incredible density without making the phone as thick as a brick.
Powering this is the Dimensity 9500+, an overclocked version of MediaTek’s latest 3nm chip. You’re getting a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED screen with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner—a massive upgrade over the slower optical sensors Oppo used in the past.
The Find X9s is expected to debut in March 2026 alongside the Find X9 Ultra. With IP69 water resistance (meaning it can survive high-pressure steam jets) and wireless charging, Oppo is clearly tired of being the “other” Chinese brand. They are aiming directly for the top of the premium market.
